Dear Mrs Wright,
IN THE MATTER OF FREDERICK ANDREWS - 1978 No 516
Thank you for your letter of yesterday's date.
All the questions which you have raised were considered in detail at the meeting on Friday 24 June last and there is nothing which I can usefully add to the information already given to you and to your solicitor, Mr Shannon - to whom I am sending copies of your latest letter and of this reply.
F BRIAN HALL
[Contrary to what has been said about me by one Official Solicitor, Mr. Hall, the late Mr. Paul Foot wrote, "Eileen Wright wrote to me in desperation two years ago. I visited her at her home and found her cheerfully determined, neither dangerous nor inaccurate". Now, with regard to what you have written above, I would not have had to write my letter of the previous day if what you state above were true. You know what you have written is totally untrue. You have given me absolutely no information nor have you given my solicitor any information to answer my questions. Quite simply you know that you must tell lies, you must evade direct questions, you must pretend to be doing your job when you know that all you are doing is covering up one of the biggest and sickest frauds every engineered in Ireland. You will go down in history, Mr. Hall, a long, long way down. Isn't it time that you faced up to your sickness, Mr. Hall, and got help. It is a sickness. In fact greed is more than a sickness, it is one of the seven deadly sins.]
