A letter from me to DC Patterson dated 23/2/1984.

Dear Mervyn,
I had a meeting in the Law Courts last Thursday with Mr. Bentley, Junior Counsel and Mr. McCracken.
I was attacked in the most brutal way by Mr. McCracken and I walked to the door to leave but he beckoned me to sit down again and foolishly I did.
I was told the usual cover-up garbage of how the Judge thought so highly of Mr. Hall, how Murdock and Deane were one of the top Estate Agents etc.
He kept shouting how I was winning by getting compensation and I came out of this meeting like a wet rag and had made my mind up never to be in that position again.
I phoned a Mr. Galloway who does quite a lot for Mental Health the next day. I explained the position and he very kindly offered to go to Mr. McCracken with me but I couldn't stick any more abuse. He phoned Mr McCracken on the Friday but Mr. McCracken told him that I was getting compensation but he insisted that Freddie
