My letter to Mr Silvey, a family friend, dated 23/11/1984.

Dear Mr Silvey,
You probably noticed quite a lot of publicity in the news reently about the Smithfield area.
The solicitor connected with MIND in Harley Street has asked me to get a solicitor here in Belfast to monitor the case and keep her informed as it is difficult for her being so far away.
I have now managed to get an honest solicitor to represent me via the Citizens Advice Bureau, so naturally he in turn needs to engage a barrister and that means me lifting 1,000.
Would you be good enough, Mr. Silvey, to withdraw this amount from whichever account you feel is best.
I will let you know how the situation progresses. I need this last push to expose all to public view. I had a two hour interview with the press yesterday so perhaps truth and justice will prevail.
My love and best wishes to Mrs Silvey and thank you again most sincerely for all your help.

Eileen Wright.
