My sister Vera's letter to Mr. J.K. Davis of the Care and Protection Department dated 5/2/82.

Dear Mr. Davis,

I refer you to my letter dated 25th July 1981 to which I have as yet had no response.

With refernce to Mr. Tughan's letter dated 11th June 1981 which you sent to me, he states that 3000 was lodged with his firm on my behalf and subsequently three amounts of 250 each were paid to me. It is claimed that the balance was paid out in school fees for my son on the instructions of my Mother, Mrs. Andrews. However, my Mother absolutely denies this allegation and has told me that she paid these fees out of her own money. So the quesion remains who did in fact give the authority to pay these fees out of my money, (not out of my brother, Freddie's money as we have been assured twice)? Over a year ago when my Mother was trying to find out the facts about this matter she instructed me to write to Tughan & Company which I did, as in other cases this letter was ignored.

It would appear to me that there should be 2250 plus interest due to me and under the circumstances I must insist on a full explantion from Tughan & Company as to how and why I have been left in this situation.

Needless to say it is my intention to recover the money due to me and would like to have a reply at an early date, as I do not wish to have to apply to the Law Society or be forced to resort to legal action in this matter.

Meantime would you be so kind as to let me know if you are having difficulty in obtaining information from Tughan & Company.

Thanking you.

Yours sincerely,

(Mrs.) Vera Douglas.
